Brand and marketing for architecture, planning and construction practices.

Your projects don't look like anyone else's. So why does your marketing?

Whether you're in planning, architecture, design or construction, you design the exception. Your brand should too.

Most practices in this industry grow the same way: word of mouth, a referral, a repeat client. It works, until it doesn't. A generic website and a stock-photo brochure don't reflect the standard of work behind them, and they won't win the client who finds you cold.

We build brand and marketing for firms whose output deserves better than a template.

A problem

You spend every project pushing against the ordinary. Fighting for the detail that makes something distinct, not default. And then the website goes up, a brochure goes to print, and it looks like everyone else.

Not because the work isn't exceptional. Because brand and marketing were never treated with the same rigour as the projects themselves.

94% of first impressions are design-related: colour, layout, typography, before a single word is read.

If people are judging you on design before they judge you on substance, the brand has to carry the same weight as the work.

"Styles come and go. Good design is a language, not a style."

Massimo Vignelli

75% of people judge a company's credibility by how its website looks, before anything else.

Made for web

Deserve better

Two companies can produce work of an equal standard, and the one with the more distinct, more considered brand will be remembered, trusted, and chosen first.

Not because the branding does the work the projects don't, because it removes the friction between “this is good” and “this is for me.”

A generic brand doesn't just fail to add anything. It quietly undersells work that deserves better.

Working with us feels like design, not admin

Architects, planners and designers already think visually, spatially, conceptually. That makes collaboration with a branding studio faster and more fluid than most clients experience.

There's no need to explain what “considered” means, or why detail matters. It's a conversation between people who already speak the same language.

"Design is thinking made visual."

Saul Bass

50ms is how long a visitor takes to form a judgement about a website, long before they've read a word of it.

Behaviour & Information Technology

Build an experience, not a brochure

Most websites are a folder of projects with a nav bar. That's not a website, it's storage.

Those whose work stops people scrolling treat the site itself as a piece of design: pacing, rhythm, transitions, the order things are revealed in. The same instincts used to sequence someone through a building, applied to how someone moves through a page.

If the site doesn't hold attention in that instant, the quality of the work behind it never gets seen.

Working with Penta was a fantastic experience. They guided us towards a brand direction that felt like a true evolution, not a drastic change, and worked with real flexibility as we refined it through the website build. Being able to iterate the brand in real time was invaluable and it was possible because Penta were such thoughtful, collaborative partners.

After exploring multiple studios to take on Fiture re-launch, it was clear we HAD to work with Penta. From start to finish they just got us, and where the Fiture brand had to go. We worked closely with the whole team and they absolutely smashed this one out the ball park. Best team ever.

Penta took the time to understand who we are and translated that into a fresh, sophisticated identity that feels true to our values. The new website not only looks stunning, but it also tells our story and engages clients the way we always hoped it would. The feedback from our team and clients has been overwhelmingly positive.
